Close Coupled Thermo Siphon
Solar water heating can be provided at a reasonable cost by using a close coupled thermo siphon system. These systems are available for flat roofs as well as sloping roofs.
They are the most cost effective method for rural areas, farms, townships and eco tourism locations. Available with or without electrical back up. We install pressurized systems but low pressure systems can be ordered.
The non electric, stand alone system can be installed DIY. No specialist plumbing knowledge is required. It comes complete with geyser, vacuum tubes and frame.

The above system can be used to boost your existing hot water system with solar heated water.
It is advisable to continue to use electricity, on a timer, to ensure sufficient hot water in the existing tank. However, if enough water is consistently used from your existing geyser, then very little electricity will be needed to ensure hot water.
